    allsana sensitive care – Encasing from the specialist for people with allergies

    Since 1998, allsana has been developing products for people with allergies, in collaboration with medical specialists and support groups. The “sensitive care” encasing mattress cover is the result of this experience: an inner cover that completely encloses your mattress and prevents direct contact with dust mite allergens.

    Between the mattress and the sheet—invisible yet effective

    Pull the cover over the mattress, close the two-way zipper, and place your fitted sheet on top as usual. A cover flap over the zipper provides additional protection. The Hohenstein Institute has tested the material and construction for dust mite allergen impermeability and certified it as a “house dust and dust mite barrier” (MA-253119-Z).

    Evolon: waterproof, breathable, chemical-free

    Evolon is a fine, microfilament fabric made from 70% polyester and 30% polyamide that has stood the test of time. It is uncoated and manufactured in the EU without chemical additives. The textured surface prevents slipping, and after the first wash, the cover feels soft and doesn’t rustle. Wash it two to three times a year at a minimum of 60 °C; temperatures up to 95 °C are acceptable.

    The "Sensitive Care" covers are tested for harmful substances in accordance with the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and are manufactured without chemical additives. According to allsana, this makes them suitable even for children and babies—up to a size of 70 × 140 cm for a crib.

    Choosing the Right Size

    Choose a mattress cover that is at least 1 to 2 cm taller than your mattress. So, for an 18 cm-high mattress, a 20 cm-high cover would be appropriate.
