Philips Taragon SL262 – Four Spotlights, Soft Lighting
Ceiling spotlights only stand out when they’re distracting: too cold, too bright, or placed too haphazardly. The Taragon SL262 from Philips’ myLiving series does the opposite. Warm white light at 2,700 Kelvin, 380 lumens per spot, a swiveling ring, and an LED certified to EyeComfort standards. This set includes four units—enough for one room.

Light where it's needed
The mounting ring can be swiveled. This allows you to direct the 36-degree beam toward the countertop, a picture on the wall, or the path to the front door, rather than letting it shine straight down onto the floor. The built-in LED provides 380 lumens at 4.5 watts and lasts about 20,000 hours—which, at three hours a day, amounts to a good 18 years.

Fits in any cavity ceiling
You'll need a 70-millimeter cutout for installation. The spot has a diameter of 85 millimeters, is 41.5 millimeters tall, and sits only 15 millimeters deep in the ceiling. Two spring clips hold it in place without the need for tools. IP20 and Protection Class II—for dry indoor spaces, not for the bathroom.
